The prices on the website are certain. However if we encounter problems in the chimney, cowl or woodstove etc there may be further charges to correct the issue. The client will be fully consulted before any extra work is undertaken.

Payment is due on the day of the chimney sweep unless otherwise arranged.

Cancellation of a confirmed appointment less than 48 hours before may result in a full chimney sweep charge.
It is illegal to remove bird nests between April and September inclusive in accordance withe the Wildlife and Countryside Act. If a birds nest is discovered chimney sweeping will be rescheduled.
We take great care to protect your property while working. However, we cannot be held responsible for poorly maintained installations, including pots, liners, bird guards, cowls etc. However, much of this can be mitigated by information provided before the chimney sweep such as last time the installation was swept and any known issues. We do not take responsibility for any damage that occurs during the chimney sweep due to issues that were known, and I was not made aware of. Should damage occur detailed advice will be given of how to rectify the situation.
Upon completion of the chimney sweep, Dorian will issue a certificate that states the date of the sweep and any recommendations. This is to prove to your insurance company that the chimney has been swept by a professional to keep your home insurance valid. This certificate does not guarantee the installation is safe to use. It states to the insurance company that your chimney has been swept and all the debris has been removed. It does not guarantee the integrity of your installation.
